The pressure leaf filter consists of outlet manifold and filter elements are mounted on the manifold with 125mm (C/C) spacing for better cleaning cycle. The manifold is mounted at the rear end of the filter.
The filter elements consist of 5 layers of Filter mesh in SS 316 L construction with bottom drain nozzles being mounted oncentral outlet manifold & clamped with two common shaft on top for clamping of filter leafs. Leafs are clamped withcommon shafts, which is further extended for mounting of pneumatic vibrator assembly. Filter unit is completely mounted on mild steel structural frame. Once the filtration cycle is completed the residual molten sulphur below the filter elements will be drained through the drain nozzle & filtered ash is dried with air. Shell will retract and scrapping of ash at the bottom most takes place. Filter is equipped with a scrapper plate fixed to the manifold to clean the bottom of filter shell. The Pneumatic Vibrator has to be operated to loosen up the Ash by creating a slight crack and the ash is dislodged manually by tapping the leaf by wooden spatula. Ash can collected in the hopper at the bottom.
